Hi! My name is Daniel McCarthy. Welcome to my Mechanical Engineering Services Company, Ionix Works. Established in 2024, my ethos is to utilise my passion for and experience in engineering to help others.
I have a B. Eng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from University of Galway. My career to date has been one covering over 10 years in medical device manufacturing. I first began in this industry as a production operator on the assembly line. The experience I've had during my career has allowed me to now operate as a contractor in the medical device industry. I continue to work in this industry contracting in as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for a large multinational medical device company.
My career in engineering has allowed me to develop my skills and experience at various different organisational levels. Using this experience, my aim is to bring you the best possible service.

My experience in ECU Remapping is also one that spans over 10 years and is driven by my enthusiasm everything Automotive. I began performance tuning in 2014 at which time I became self-taught in file writing software across Bosch EDC15VM+, EDC15P+ and EDC16U34 architecture. I now operate as an Authorized Dealer under the TopGear Tuning network. By working as a dealer for TopGear Tuning, it allows me to bring the highest quality software solution across an extensive range of vehicles.

My CAD experience ranges from design and development of components for automated inspection systems through to specifications for medical device components and everything in-between. Coupling this with my experience and 3D printing capabilities, I can also work with you to develop prototypes or functional parts for whatever project you are working on.
